John has more than 20 years of leadership and sales experience in real estate, and is excited to start a new journey in his 20+ year real estate career as a Founding Partner of The Agency Atlanta, where he leads a team of Elite Real Estate Advisors, known as Space Intown, REALTORS from The Agency Atlanta's Midtown office.
In years past, John has served as a SVP and Managing Broker of the Atlanta Perimeter office at Harry Norman, REALTORS® where he was solely responsible for the attraction, engagement, coaching, and retention of 80+ agents and staff.
As the Managing Broker, John had the opportunity to not only read and review 100's of real estate contracts, but he also helped his agents create winning marketing and negotiation strategies for their clients. This included everything from helping homeowners understand what preparations they should complete to successfully ready their home for market, to creating a robust, effective marketing plan to present their carfully curated home to the public, helping ensure the home owner realize the highest possible sales price, in the least mount of time.
For buyers and sellers either writing or receiving an offer, John coached his agents to thoroughly understand the language in the contract, helping them think critically when negotiating on behalf of their clients and helping them brainstorm winning strategies that lead to successful closings and loyal clients.
In 2018, John turned his focus to working with and growing a much smaller, hand-picked group of elite real estate professionals, Space Intown, REALTORS® that he currently leads in conjunction with managing The Agency Atlanta's Midtown office.
Beyond his professional work, John enjoys spending his free time with his nephew Axel and niece June, or with his dogs Huckleberry and Finley in Piedmont Park. John is a huge fan of tennis and loves both watching and playing tennis at his local court. Beyond tennis, John's hobbies also include learning to play the piano, going skydiving, and hunting for mid-century furniture for his home.
